Your Opportunity:This position works in the quality control area at the Edmonton Radiopharmaceutical Centre (ERC). Duties include performing quality control testing on radiopharmaceuticals, data compilation and analysis/interpretation as per SOPs, environmental monitoring and general lab upkeep, and assisting with calibrations, qualifications, preventive maintenance and repair of Quality Control related equipment.Description:As a Radiopharmacy Specialist, you will prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals from both commercial kits and raw materials. You will assist in the use and maintenance of scientific equipment and instrumentation, radiation and workplace health and safety procedures, develop and write Standard Operating Procedures, check supply inventory, prepare and dispense radiopharmaceutical kit production and assist in the packaging and transportation of radiopharmaceuticals.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or a related field or equivalent level of education and experience. Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Certification with the Canadian College of Radiopharmaceutical Scientists (CCRS) where applicable. Additional Required Qualifications:A BSc in chemistry, pharmacy, or physical sciences or a technical diploma in a relevant scientific discipline or other equivalent training or experience. Experience with the following methodologies: TLC, HPLC, GC. Preferred Qualifications:Good Manufacturing Practice experience. Radiation safety training.
