- Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2 or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to the Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2 acquired in a different Business Clerk position, which may be subject to testing
- Demonstrated experience with Meditech - registration, scheduling, material management etc. Mathematical skills related to payroll, budget and statistics. Proficiency with MS office and Teletracking preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role with a knowledge of endoscopy procedures and processes
- Keyboarding of at least 40 wpm
- Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the position
- Knowledge and skill with office procedures and equipment such as fax, photocopier, label printer, multiple phone lines, computer etc.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with adult and pediatric patients and their families, with patience, courtesy and tact. Ability to demonstrate attributes that contribute to a respectful, caring environment
- Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), documentation, interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to organize work and prioritize tasks in a fast paced multidisciplinary setting
