- A diploma in civil engineering or engineering design and drafting from an accredited technical institution.
- Registered, or eligible for registration with ASET.
- 10+ years experience in AutoCAD, and Civil 3D relative to civil surface or underground projects is preferred, including:
o Able to import surveys and create a surface.
o Create alignments and profiles.
o Compare surfaces to determine volume.
- Must provide a full range of experience in all forms of civil related design and drafting, including earthworks, utility piping, surface drainage, roadways, in both rural and urban municipal settings.
- Ability to complete the work using pre-determined CAD standards and templates and produce a set of construction drawings or figures.
- Proficiency in MS office software applications such as Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Potential opportunity to take on field construction assignments to monitor construction activity or be a survey assistant.
- Possesses a valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel within Alberta.
