- Lead the design and development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for new and existing products.
- Create detailed circuit schematics and perform simulations to validate performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Own critical technical decisions related to architecture, component selection, and system-level design tradeoffs.
- Oversee PCB layout activities with a focus on signal integrity, power distribution, EMC, thermal considerations, and manufacturability.
- Review PCB designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to best practices.
- Evaluate and select electronic components based on performance, availability, lifecycle, and cost considerations.
- Lead prototype bring‑up, testing, and design verification activities.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware issues and guide corrective actions across engineering teams.
- Develop and execute robust verification and validation test plans.
- Work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics into the full product architecture.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Generate comprehensive design documentation including specifications, test plans, test reports, and ECOs.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards (e.g., UL, cUL, CE, EMC).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electronics design or product development.
- Strong understanding of analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal design fundamentals.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium preferred).
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experience with embedded hardware development and/or working alongside firmware teams.
- Familiarity with SPICE-based simulation tools.
- Experience with products that involve line-voltage or high-power electronics.
- Scripting or automation experience (Python preferred).
- Knowledge of UL/cUL/CE standards and certification processes.
- Background supporting products through manufacturing, sustaining, or compliance phases.
- You independently lead complex electronics development efforts from concept through launch.
- You provide technical leadership across engineering disciplines and raise the capability of junior team members.
- Your designs consistently meet performance, cost, reliability, and compliance goals.
- You enhance documentation, design review rigor, and engineering processes across the team.
