- This position is eligible for relocation support up to $7,500, based on distance of relocation
- Graduate of a recognized, accredited Radiography education program.
- Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
- Membership with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) preferred.
- Experience or willingness to train in CT an asset.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced environment, utilize a full scope of practice, learn new skills and participate in a wide range of procedures.
- A commitment to provide compassionate and safe care to patients, family members and support persons.
- Dedication to performing high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with hospital and profession standards.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and work co-operatively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care.
- Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional and personal growth and development through Continuing Education Programs and Self-Directed Learning Opportunities.
- Working knowledge of Safety Code 35, RHPA and standards of practice for related field.
- Able to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
- Recent satisfactory performance appraisal and attendance record.
- No recent disciplinary events.
- Perform all required General Radiography examinations as prescribed by physicians in accordance with relevant protocols and procedures.
- Maintain strong team environment amongst fellow Medical Radiation Technologists, nursing team, radiologists and interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate clinical competency in all aspects of General Radiography and minor special procedures.
- Deliver high quality, safe and compassionate patient care.
- Work with and participate in evaluation of students from affiliated education programs as needed.
