RVH is seeking a MEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGIST – MRT(R) to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our program, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of Radiography within our Medical Imaging team. As the hub of our region, we provide a high level of complex imaging across all modalities including high risk OBSP, advanced cardiac and acute stroke CT imaging, life changing embolization and thrombolysis interventional procedures, and cutting-edge treatments such as Trans arterial Radioembolization. Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a recognized, accredited Radiography education program.
  • Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
  • Membership with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) preferred.
  • Experience or willingness to train in CT an asset.

  • Working knowledge of Safety Code 35, RHPA and standards of practice for related field.
  • Able to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Recent satisfactory performance appraisal and attendance record.
  • No recent disciplinary events.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform all required General Radiography examinations as prescribed by physicians in accordance with relevant protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain strong team environment amongst fellow Medical Radiation Technologists, nursing team, radiologists and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency in all aspects of General Radiography and minor special procedures.
  • Deliver high quality, safe and compassionate patient care.
  • Work with and participate in evaluation of students from affiliated education programs as needed.
