- Develop and execute sales strategies to target utility companies, energy providers, and large-scale commercial clients.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and market research.
- Present and promote our commercial EV charging solutions, including hardware, software, and managed services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders at utility companies.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and marketing teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
- Lead RFP/RFQ responses and participate in contract negotiations.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Stay informed about EV industry trends, utility regulations, and incentive programs.
- Proven track record of success in commercial sales, with at least 3 years of specific experience selling Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers to businesses in Canada.
- A higher level of experience and a proven track record of success will be considered for a Senior Sales Representative role.
- Proven success in selling complex solutions with long sales cycles.
- Existing relationships with utility companies is a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of utility procurement processes, demand response programs, and electrification trends.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
- Bilingual proficiency in English (native-level) and French (fluent), with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Solution Sales: Proven ability to identify customer needs and sell a comprehensive solution (hardware, software, services), not just a product.
- Complex Sales Management: Expertise in navigating long sales cycles, managing multiple stakeholders, and responding to complex RFPs/RFQs.
- Negotiation & Closing: Strong track record of successfully negotiating contracts and closing high-value deals.
- Industry and Market KnowledgeEV Industry Acumen: In-depth knowledge of commercial EV charging technology, including hardware, software platforms, and market trends.
- Utility & Energy Sector Expertise: Understanding of utility company structures, procurement processes, demand response, and electrification trends.
- Canadian Market Specifics: Familiarity with the Canadian market, including key industry players, regional differences, and government incentive programs.
- Professional Attributes: Bilingual Proficiency: Native-level English and fluent French for effective communication in both languages.
