We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.Job SummaryTYLin is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team.Responsibilities & QualificationsDuties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and design of stormwater management and water resources projects, including SWM facilities, municipal drainage systems, LID measures, and erosion and sediment control.Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, Visual OTTHYMO) under the guidance of senior engineers.Assist in the preparation of Stormwater Management Reports, Functional Servicing Reports, Drainage Reports, Floodplain Studies, Environmental Assessment Reports relating to Master Plans, Subwatershed Impact Studies, and supporting technical memoranda.Prepare design calculations, technical analyses, and supporting documentation in accordance with municipal, and Conservation Authority guidelinesContribute to detailed design drawings using Civil 3D and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams.Support agency submissions and assist with coordination of approvals with municipalities, Conservation Authorities, and other regulatory bodies.Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.Support proposal preparation and technical write-ups as required.Continuously develop technical skills and remain current with evolving stormwater standards, LID practices, and climate resilience considerations.Conduct occasional field visits.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications (Including Education and/or Experience)Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.Registered as an EIT or P. Eng. (or eligible for registration) in Ontario.5–8 years of experience in stormwater management and/or water resources engineering within municipal or land development projects.Working knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, or Visual OTTHYMO.Familiarity with municipal design standards, CLI-ECA, Conservation Authority requirements, and local planning/approval processes in Southern Ontario.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Creative and innovative thinker with sound technical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients.Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a consulting environment.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to professional development and progression toward P.
