- Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize organizational capabilities, behaviours, and structures that support strategic goals.
- Build strong, credible relationships with internal stakeholders, offering expert guidance on all things people related.
- Provide thoughtful coaching on talent management, performance, recruitment, terminations, compensation, development, and change management.
- Partner with the Recruitment team and hiring managers to support staffing plans, project assignments and talent redeployment.
- Advise managers on labour laws, disciplinary actions, and administrative processes to ensure fair and consistent practices.
- Champion the rollout of AtkinsRéalis policies and help shape new processes that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Anticipate business needs and deliver HR solutions aligned with our mission, vision, and values.
- Lead initiatives that boost employee engagement, strengthen culture, and retain top talent.
- Stay current on employment legislation and ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies that foster open communication and positive working relationships.

- University Degree or completion of a Human Resources Management degree/diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- 7-10 years of proven experience as a generalist in HR.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Knowledge of unionized environment, investigations, grievance and arbitration processes will be considered an asset.
- Proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, facilitate, and resolve conflicts.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational development.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work as the primary HR partner as part of a cross functional management team.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, tact, and high ethical standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
- French oral and written skills will be considered a strong asset as the role interacts across Canada.
