
Director - Structured Finance, Asset-Backed Securities - Toronto, Canada

- Oversee the monitoring of existing ratings and direct new rating assignments across various structured finance transactions.
- Provide leadership in analyzing credit, legal, and structural elements of complex transaction structures.
- Ensure the production of high-quality written reports, including credit committees, criteria, and market commentary.
- Represent Fitch in communicating rating methodologies and criteria to senior stakeholders.
- Lead major research initiatives and drive the development of new criteria within the group.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with key rating clients and industry leaders.
- Knowledge of digital infrastructure assets or experience with or knowledge of the telecom industry.
- Demonstrated experience with corporate financial statement analysis, financial accounting, financial projections, and credit risk analysis.
- Understanding of capital markets and debt issuance.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or other quantitative disciplines.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong track record of analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proven leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence to communicate with issuers, bankers, investors, and other market participants.
- Significant industry experience in digital infrastructure lending, investing, corporate sector coverage, or operations.
- Knowledge of or experience working with securitizations.
- Technical understanding of digital infrastructure technology and/or operations of companies operating in this space.
- Experience reviewing legal documentation relating to the issuance of debt (e.g. indentures, promissory notes, security agreements, and related documents.)
