- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the overarching vision for sales, sponsorships, and events, ensuring alignment with resort goals and brand identity.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop comprehensive sales strategies, forecasts, and budgets; oversee implementation and performance through support of the sales team.
- Sponsorship Development: Forge and nurture high-impact sponsorships to enhance brand reach and generate incremental revenue streams.
- Event Management: Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of resort events including weddings, corporate functions, community gatherings, and Destination Management Company (DMC) programs.
- Festival & Special Project Innovation: Spearhead the development of new festivals and one-of-a-kind guest experiences, such as the Grouse Club concept.
- Industry Collaboration: Cultivate business development opportunities through partnerships with tour operators, travel partners, and industry organizations.
- Market Insights: Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, evaluate the competitive landscape, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and satisfaction.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets for sales campaigns, sponsorship activations, and events to ensure financial objectives and ROI are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of six professionals across sales and event functions, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (MBA an asset).
- 10+ years of experience in sales, events, and sponsorships, with 5+ years in a leadership role, ideally in tourism, hospitality, or attractions.
- Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies, securing sponsorships, and producing large-scale events.
- Strong understanding of sales forecasting, budgeting, and CRM tools
- Experience with event logistics, vendor coordination, and guest experience design.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and adjust plans accordingly.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Passion for outdoor recreation and delivering unique, memorable guest experiences.
