- Maintain a strong, welcoming, and professional presence within all bathhouse and wellness spaces.
- Lead by example in delivering refined, personalized, and attentive guest service.
- Support guests with orientation, guidance, and confidence within wellness facilities.
- Act as the escalation point for guest concerns, resolving issues with empathy, discretion, and efficiency.
- Uphold Rimrock Banff's luxury service standards, wellness philosophy, and Emblems brand values at all times.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness centre, studios, pool deck, hydrotherapy, and wellness spaces.
- Ensure facilities are consistently pristine, safe, and guest-ready throughout operating hours.
- Complete and oversee opening, closing, and mid-day operational checklists.
- Monitor equipment condition, cleanliness, and functionality; report and follow up on maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of towels, amenities, water, and wellness supplies.
- Make real-time decisions to adapt to guest flow, capacity, and operational changes.
- Provide daily leadership to Fitness & Wellness Hosts as the primary on-shift leader.
- Set clear expectations around luxury service standards, professionalism, and wellness etiquette.
- Lead onboarding, training, and continuous coaching to build team capability and confidence.
- Deliver real-time feedback and performance guidance, addressing concerns promptly and constructively.
- Support scheduling, shift coverage, and time-off coordination to maintain operational continuity.
- Contribute meaningful input to performance evaluations in partnership with the Fitness & Wellness Manager.
- Foster a driven, collaborative team culture rooted in accountability, energy, and shared purpose.
- Ensure all bathhouse and wellness policies are upheld and consistently enforced.
- Monitor guest activity to ensure safe and appropriate use of facilities and equipment.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, confidently, and in alignment with established protocols.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of emergency procedures, health & safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely incident documentation and reporting.
- Support execution of wellness programming, classes, and special activations.
- Partner closely with the Fitness & Wellness Manager on audits, reporting, initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Expeditions to ensure a seamless and elevated guest journey.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational systems and guest experience through innovation and initiative.
- Previous experience in fitness, wellness, hospitality, or luxury guest-facing environments.
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Strong operational mindset with a focus on results, efficiency, and consistency.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Confident, persuasive communicator with a calm, professional, and service-driven presence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
- Comfort leading from the floor and making timely, independent decisions.
- Certification in fitness instruction, yoga, or wellness modalities.
- Experience in luxury spa or retreat environments.
- Strong knowledge of hydrotherapy practices and bathhouse etiquette.
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout wellness and bathhouse spaces.
- Ability to lift and move supplies up to 30lbs / 14kg.
- Exposure to warm, humid environments within hydrotherapy areas.
