Department: Commercial - Retail TrainingReports to: Manager, Product TrainingLocation: North Vancouver, B.CAs the Instructional Designer, Product Training you are responsible for the successful design and creation of Product Training experiences that drive passion and knowledge across all Arc'teryx commercial channels. Specifically, you will focus on the build-out and continual improvement of our product training experiences ranging from eLearning to facilitator-led Product Education training events. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to create transformational learning experiences related to any of our current and future products. Using your innovative mindset, you will assess ways to make our Product Training content uniquely Arc'teryx. You are connected to our product teams and bring the voice of our designers and highly technical concepts to our commercial teams. You reflect and get curious about how Product Training content is received and adapt future content to address feedback. You are obsessed about engaging learning experiences and the impact they create within our Product Training content.This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.Meet Your Future Team:Your role is to work with the leaders in the Product Training team to build scalable, accessible, and engaging content. The Product Training team, a part of our Retail Training and Business Excellence team, is in service of the business supporting our scalable store growth and achievement of our goals. Product Training creates best-in-class learning programs, supports implementation training, and delivers training that enables our business to operate effectively and scale for the future. You will be supporting with creating training to unleash our commercial teams' potential and build a high-performance culture.\nIf you were the Instructional Designer, Product Training now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Designing innovative Arc'teryx authentic curriculum and instructional materials, such as eLearning, presentations, facilitation guides, participant guides and other complimentary documents
  • Supporting and collaborating on product training projects end-to-end
  • Creating modules and learning paths in our learning management system and other learning channels that maintain Arc'teryx content and branding guidelines
  • Staying up-to-date on industry standards and emerging trends in adult learning theory, methods, tools and applications
  • Tracking and measuring engagement and impact of Product Training channels while providing ongoing regular maintenance
  • Facilitating and presenting to audiences of varying levels of the organization
  • Working cross-functionally with subject matter experts at our Head Office / Design Centre and across our commercial teams to build out product training content
  • Working closely with end users and key stakeholders to understand product training needs and requirements
  • Engaging with guests in-store and working alongside our retail teams to stay connected to the business and understand product training needs

Are you our next Instructional Designer, Product Training?
  • You have a Bachelors degree or post-secondary education in education, organizational behaviour, human resources, or a related field
  • You have 4+ years' experience in corporate training or training design in the retail industry
  • You have experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • You have experience with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Instructional Design authoring tools (Articulate Rise, Storyline, 7Taps or others), Productivity and additional media management skills
  • You can foresee barriers and opportunities with implementing new training, and you have demonstrated your ability to bring solutions and appropriate recommendations to solve anticipated learning needs
  • You have end-to-end course development experience
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • You thrive in an agile environment and can balance multiple priorities at once
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You can multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage priorities working in a fast-paced environment
  • You have excellent project management skills
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

\n$80,000 - $100,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of thepay range is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD at the time of this posting.
