
Senior Security Advisor – WAF SME

NetScaler, Barracuda).Develop, maintain, and optimize WAF rules, signatures, and policies to protect against OWASP Top 10 and other advanced web threats.Monitor WAF alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and coordinate incident response actions.Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to securely onboard new applications and design protection strategies.Perform log analysis, threat hunting, and forensic investigations related to web application traffic.Track and evaluate emerging vulnerabilities (CVEs) and adjust WAF protections accordingly.Automate WAF policy deployment and reporting using scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).Support and cross-train within other threat protection platforms (Email Security, EDR/Endpoint Security).Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.What you bring to the table:Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent work experience.3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years in WAF engineering/operations.Strong understanding of HTTP/S, TLS, and web application architectures.Hands-on experience with at least one major WAF platform (AWS WAF, Azure WAF, GCP, Cloudflare, Akamai, F5, Imperva).Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, common attack vectors (SQLi, XSS, LFI, RFI, CSRF, credential stuffing, bot traffic).Familiarity with SIEM integration and log analysis.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail.Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell, or Terraform) preferred.No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country#LI-HybridWhat we offerOur hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Working here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
