Location: Coquitlam, BC
Pay Range: $65k to $75k per yearWhat's the Job?
- Receive, label, barcode, inventory, and issue parts to mechanics, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels for critical fleet components to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Obtain and review vendor quotes; verify pricing accuracy on packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Pick up parts from suppliers as required to support urgent maintenance needs.
- Review “dirty post-trip” reports, create corresponding work orders, and order required parts.
- Track down-truck lists and monitor CVI and PM schedules to support preventative maintenance planning.
- Process returns or exchanges for incorrect or defective parts.
- Perform ongoing cycle counts between quarterly inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of the parts room in compliance with WHMIS and company safety standards.
- Prepare and communicate a summary of completed night shift work orders to the day shift team to ensure operational continuity.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize parts needs and reduce vehicle downtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shop and operational requirements.
- Experience in an Automotive/Transport industry is an asset.
- Must have valid class 5 driver's license and suitable abstract
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Outlook and Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Must be able to lift over 70 lbs.
- Must be physically fit.
- It is necessary to be prepared for exposure to noise such as is common in trucking and shop environments.
- $66k to $75k per year
