Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, government agencies, and community representatives.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as relevant public sector regulations and guidelines.
- Support the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and other procurement-related documents.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
PMP Certification is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion of that experience gained within a Transit Agency.
- Demonstrable experience managing projects within the Public Sector is essential.
- Proven understanding and experience with Bus Operations, including but not limited to, fleet management, scheduling, maintenance, and operational efficiencies.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with specific transit technologies.
- Knowledge of provincial/federal procurement processes.
- Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI).
