Our client in the commercial laundry systems industry is seeking a Service Technician to join their team. This exciting opportunity provides a great opportunity to build a strong career with a great company. As Service Technician, you will repair washers and dryers at various customer locations. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working independently and has a very strong mechanical aptitude.Job Title: Service Technician

What's the Job?
  • Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, etc.
  • Disassembles machines and examines mechanical and electrical parts.
  • Reassembles appliances, adjusts pulleys, and lubricates moving parts.
  • Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers.
  • Replaces worn or defective parts and adjusts motors.
  • Cleans and washes parts.
  • Advises Dispatch Department of equipment in the field that should be replaced with new equipment.
  • Drives a Company vehicle to and from work locations.
  • Accurately and legibly record machine counter readings.
  • Maintain company vehicle and inventory within.
What's Needed?
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-4 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and mechanical experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck.
  • Prior washer/dryer repair experience is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Valid G2 gas license is an asset.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Must possess effective English communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to read and understand road maps, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of AVS procedures is preferred.
