- the development and maintenance of electrical requirements from the mission level down to the major subsystem level (Spacecraft Bus, Payload, etc);
- the development and generation of deliverable documents such as engineering plans, engineering budgets, design reports, and operational concepts;
- the analyses to support the mission development such as power budgets, link budgets, EMC/EMI analyses, etc;
- the development and maintenance of interface control documents between the major mission subsystems (e.g. Bus to Payload) ;
- the review of design material provided by Subcontractors to ensure compliance to requirements;
- the development of spacecraft procedures for Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) and oversight of their execution;
- the verification activities of the overall mission; and
- mentoring and coaching team members.
- Must possess an Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar
- Minimum of 10 year’s experience in a relevant field
- Experience and knowledge in satellites and their applications, including:
- Spacecraft attitude control, orbit determination, and orbit maintenance
- Spacecraft systems such as power management, communications, etc
- Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) of satellites or subsystems
- Spacecraft EMC/EMI analysis or testing
- Have experience with any of the following software tools:
- MS Excel, for the purposes of engineering analyses
- Requirements Management tools such as DOORS
- MS Office
- Experience with electronic equipment assembly, integration and test for the purpose of test planning, test procedure development, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with use of lab electronics and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and logic analyzers, and the analysis of test results
- Familiarity with SPICE or other circuit analysis tools could be beneficial
- A solid understanding of different types of engineering life cycles as applicable from large complex programs to software development
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to perform in a dynamic working environment
- Possess excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to travel for spacecraft test campaigns
- A team-friendly attitude and willingness to learn
