Conduct research and provide recommendations and support to departments, the LCBO’s Board and Senior Management, and the Government of Ontario on governance, legislative and regulatory matters.
Prepare and provide briefing notes, correspondence and presentations to support the organization in managing issues and developing recommendations on policies and programs.
Develop relationships with LCBO partners, stay up to date with public policy developments and government directives, policies, legislation, or regulations related to the LCBO.
Support LCBO’s program administration responsibilities under the Liquor Control Act of Ontario by liaising with suppliers, distributors, and retailers, as well as preparing internal briefing materials and documents to support decision-making.
Seek and implement opportunities to improve the efficient delivery of LCBO programs from an end-user perspective.
About You
Post-secondary education in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in policy development and/or in an area involving research and analysis.
Ability to collaborate, with a dedication to deliver the best results.
Solid judgement in handling confidential corporate issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills and a track record of performing a range of tasks and issues simultaneously to a positive outcome in a timely manner.
Flexibility to work effectively in a variety of situations and with various individuals or groups.
Government or crown corporation experience is an asset.
Working knowledge of beverage alcohol industry is an asset.
Knowledge of Ontario’s Agencies and Appointments Directive is an asset.
