
HR and Payroll Administrator

- Administer and process bi-weekly payroll and benefits with accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile HR, payroll, and benefits data to ensure integrity and consistency across systems.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide guidance to employees on payroll, benefits, and HR policies in a customer-focused manner.
- Support union-related payroll and benefits processes in accordance with collective agreements.
- Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, training sessions, and other HR-related activities.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team on various initiatives and employee support services, including recruitment and internal moves.
- Generate reports and analytics as needed for audits, reviews, or internal use.
- Provide administrative support for internal reporting processes, including organizing and tracking staff incident reports and assisting with the WSIB documentation. Ensure all required forms are completed accurately and submitted on time. Maintain organized records, follow up on missing information, and assist with preparing documentation in accordance with internal procedures and compliance standards.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, payroll regulations, and best practices.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field is a must.
- PCP or other HR/payroll-related designation is an asset.
- Proven experience in HR and payroll administration in a unionized work environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (Experience with Dayforce, Ceridian, or any other HRIS systems), benefits administration, and employment legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to data accuracy and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to handle employee and organizational information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure and handle multiple, competing priorities.
