We're about doing what's right and feeling good about it.Position DetailsReporting to the Manager, Business Development - Ontario, you will be energetic, professional and resourceful providing service to our brokers.What will you doMaintain existing broker relationships and seek opportunities to expand the broker relationship networkMonitor portfolio performance, including retention rates, loss ratio and growth metricsAssist in the development, execution and reporting of strategic plans/business plans alongside relevant management teams and departmentsDevelopment of tools, guides and other resources for our broker partners. This includes hosting presentations/training sessions, both virtual and in person.Represent the Echelon team at a variety of industry trade shows and broker conventions coordinating with Marketing for these eventsAccountable for gathering and reporting market intelligenceAddress concerns and/or issues related to brokers quickly and effectively working closely with the business line(s)Assist in the strategic development of annual marketing plansExtensive travel is required in Western Ontario RegionWho you areCollege or University Degree in related field is required preferably in business administration or marketing with a practical knowledge of automobile insurance3-5 years of industry related experience, with 1-2 years related experience in a sales/account management environmentOutstanding people skills, building trusted relationships for the long termStrong communication skills both verbal and written (i.e. presentation quality, positioning, spelling, grammar, etc.)Ability to self-motivate, work both independently as well as in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and excellent follow up skillsA team player with a positive attitude to achieve excellent service deliveryHigh degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and WordCIP designation would be an assetWhat's In It For You
