We're always searching the globe for innovative, collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon community!What is the Opportunity?The New Nuclear Development (NND) Program is dedicated to advancing new-build nuclear projects through a series of strategic phases, from initial business development to project execution in Canada, the United States, and abroad. NND's mission is to form strong, effective teams that excel in project planning and delivery, continuously evaluating opportunities and risks to ensure success under commercially viable conditions.Reporting to the Project Controls Director, the Scheduler will support various projects for our New Nuclear Development ProgramWhat You'll Do HereParticipate in estimation efforts for Proposal Schedules including resource and contingency estimates.Set Project baselines schedules at award, drafting the supporting Basis of Schedule and narratives securing approval, maintaining records and aligning with project budget setup and initial risk register.Set the rules of credit with project management and considering cost management.Organize internal meetings to validate progress and provide feedback.Update the schedules daily, weekly, and monthly or as required by the project.Conduct Critical Path, Variance, What-If, Resources, Burn rates, Risk and Contingency analyses.Attention to commercial, contractual, and internal changes to analyze impacts and adhere to the Change Management Process through accurate change logs.Review and revise schedule logic as needed, demonstrating impacts to Project Management and Corporate Project Controls. while logging all changesEstablish Earned Value dashboards summarizing schedule information, tracking Milestones and resources histograms, inputs to Reporting, internal and external, in alignment with Cost Management.Lead and own the reporting process and validate reports with Project Manager prior to submission.Align schedule re-baseline with budget re-forecasts and other Earned Value Metrics.Analyze schedule quality utilizing assessment tools (e.g. Acumen Fuse).Attend and lead meetings with clients and subcontractors to support project scheduling activities.Support risk management process by providing inputs into schedule risk analysis modeling.Continuously provide solutions and ideas to improve Project Controls Processes.Provide subject-matter expertise to project team on any customized reporting tools and dashboards.Provide mentorship & guidance to junior team members.Provide inputs and participates in Aecon Continuous Improvement processes and activities.Contribute to lessons learned and delivers presentations to raise Scheduling and Project Controls awareness for project teams.All above must be:Communicated promptly to Project Management and Corporate Project Controls.Performed compliant to Aecon Project Controls standards, guidelines, industry best practices and Clients' requirements.Assuring integrated Project Controls performance considering Cost, Change and Risk Management and Reporting.In coordination with other departments; Commercial, Design, Procurement, Construction, Finance…etc.What You'll Bring to the TeamDemonstrated Analytical & Adaptive ThinkingA technical or business degree from a recognized institution is required7-10 years of related planning & scheduling experienceQuantitative, Engineering or Construction Management Post-Secondary DegreeStrong Team Collaboration SkillsDetail Oriented Approach, Focused on QualityStrong Verbal & Written Communication SkillsAgility & Flexibility in a Dynamic EnvironmentInnovative Problem-Solving SkillsProject Controls AmbassadorEPC Contractor (Self-Perform) ExperienceConstruction Field ExperienceMega-project or Portfolio Projects ExperienceDue to the nature of work conducted by Aecon, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employmentReason for vacancy: NewPay Range: $99,000 - $149,000Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
