As our Planner Scheduler you will develop and maintain project and departmental schedules that support shop plans and customer orders, ensuring efficient execution of work scope. Reporting to the Project Planning Manager, you will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align priorities, communicate work plans, and coordinate activities to support timely and effective project delivery.Location:Onsite, Cambridge ONYour Day to Day as our Planner Scheduler:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating company standards, drawings, scope of work, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with project team leads to define activities, durations, and milestones for accurate project planning.
- Coordinate with Supply Management, Source Assurance, and Procurement to plan and track mid- to long-lead materials, ensuring timely availability.
- Monitor project progress, identify critical path and near-critical activities, and proactively implement strategies to mitigate delays.
- Prepare and communicate short-, medium-, and long-term lookahead plans, as well as customer schedules and reports.
- Integrate schedule changes and recovery plans while maintaining alignment with scope control and change management requirements.
- Track resources and budgeted man hours to ensure alignment with project plans and SAP/earned value reports.
- Oversee manufacturing activities, work orders, and non-conformance tracking to support schedule accuracy.
- Conduct shop floor walkthroughs to verify work status, identify bottlenecks, and ensure materials are staged for production.
- Generate reports and provide data-driven insights to support project management decisions.
- Participate in, and occasionally lead, project planning and scheduling review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- University or College education in Engineering, Materials or Operations Management.
- Must have P6 experience.
- Experience with SAP preferred but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work with precision and accuracy, demonstrating excellent attention-to-detail and excellent record keeping skills.
