- Provide guidance and support across a variety of topics including performance and talent management, conflict resolution, employee relations, employee engagement, career development, recruitment and change management.
- Provide coaching to leaders contributing to their development and their team's leadership capabilities.
- Ensure that when initiatives and programs are deployed, they are adapted to the reality of business units and are successfully adopted in a practical and consistent manner.
- Support leaders in solving employee relations issues through effective coaching, problem-solving and ensuring adherence to appropriate employment laws and policies.
- Partner with leaders to foster conversations to promote career development, support learning and development.
- Work with all levels of leadership up to C-suite to develop effective organizational structures to drive organizational health.
- Leverage data to identify and act on opportunities that point to better, simpler ways of doing things as we scale.
- Help drive employee engagement; works with leaders and teams to action engagement survey results
- Dive deeper when needed on leader thinking and partner with them to make sound business decisions.
- When gaps are uncovered complete a root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and present solutions with the leaders of the client group
- Analyze people trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Partner with P&C Leadership to develop and roll out initiatives.
- Lead by example, by acting as an ambassador of our culture; drive change by partnering with business leaders and other internal groups to proactively manage changes impacting team members.
- Collaborate with centres of excellence, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to generate people centered solutions.
- Coach employees and people leaders to role model behaviours that uphold Prophix company values and culture
- Promote and support our diversity and belonging initiatives, as needed
- Be curious and recommend creative solutions to complex situations that you might not have encountered before and reach out to the P&C Ops team or your Leader for guidance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a HRBP
- Help leadership navigate performance and talent management, conflict resolution, employee relations, employee engagement, career development, recruitment and/or change management.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Experience applying Canadian and US employment legislation (multi-province/territory and multi-state)
- Business acumen and experience developing effective partnerships and collaborating with leaders through hands-on and strategic input, discernment, and advice
- Technical ability to adopt new software quickly; experience with programs such as MS Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, HCM (UKG Pro or other HCM software)
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the audience, respond confidently to questions from senior leaders, and communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
- Comfortable with live system demonstrations – Confident in screen sharing, navigating systems in real time, and presenting workflows or tools during meetings or presentations.
- Previous work experience partnering with various levels within an organization including C-suite, senior directors, and managers.
- Resourceful and self-motivated with ability to work in changing environments.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
- Experience working in employee experience platforms or survey tools such as Culture Amp.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience using a cloud based HCM solution, preferably UKG.Hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located.
- CHRP/CPHR or equivalent in progress would be considered an asset.
