
Director, New Home Sales

- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for all housing regions in Western Canada, including presale and speculative housing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align the sales vision and ensure both top- and bottom-line performance.
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team.
- Work closely with internal leaders (General Managers, Senior Director of Operations, Director of Product Development, and leaders from Design, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, and Construction) to ensure aligned goals and mutual understanding across departments.
- Set clear performance expectations for the sales team; coach, motivate, and track results to drive success.
- Lead change initiatives that align with Dream’s values and business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze key sales metrics, inventory, market trends, and competitor activity; adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Identify and acquire necessary resources and talent to meet sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams and brokers.
- Continuously improve our customer experience (CRM) strategy and feedback systems.
- Ensure marketing efforts—including content, social media, and show homes—support the overall sales strategy.
- Promote ongoing learning and development; stay current with industry trends and attend relevant seminars and events.
- Travel required to communities across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in residential new home sales (single-family and low-rise), ideally with a mid- to high-volume builder
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, broker relationships, and legal processes related to housing development and construction
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage both direct and indirect reports
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and negotiation abilities
- A proven track record of collaboration, initiative, and creative problem-solving
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
