- Managing insurance defence files through all stages of litigation, including carriage of bodily injury and MVA matters
- Conducting discoveries, mediations, and chambers applications with a high degree of independence
- Working closely with senior counsel on complex, high-exposure, or high-profile matters
- Providing strategic advice to insurer clients and maintaining strong reporting and file management standards
- Contributing to business development initiatives and supporting the continued growth of the practice
- Meeting billable and non-billable expectations in a fast-paced, team-oriented defence practice
- 5+ years of post-call civil litigation experience, with demonstrated experience in bodily injury and MVA defence
- Experience acting for insurers and insureds in a busy defence practice
- Familiarity with Alberta Rules of Court and litigation procedures
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, paired with sound professional judgment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused and service-oriented approach
- The ability to manage files independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
