We are looking for a Manager, Engineering Coordination & Integration to join our team!What You Will Do
- Reports to Director, Engineering Management
- Lead engineering coordination and integration efforts across major subway expansion projects, ensuring alignment with TTC standards and stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure to support smooth transitions across all project phases-from design and construction to implementation and close-out.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage technical interfaces, design reviews, and project transitions from planning through to completion.
- Act as the primary liaison between TTC and external partners (e.g., Metrolinx, City of Toronto, contractors) to ensure technical submissions meet infrastructure and operational needs.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Property, etc.) to incorporate their input into project planning and execution.
- Oversee the review and approval of technical documentation, including design variances and infrastructure standards.
- Facilitate technical meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues related to design, scope, and compliance.
- Manage staff and consultants, providing leadership, performance oversight, and support for professional development.
- Support budget planning, goal setting, and performance reporting for TTC's Subway Program activities.
- Promote safety, accessibility, and inclusion in all aspects of project coordination and team management.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project delivery and system assurance.
- Provide guidance on procurement strategies and models relevant to large-scale engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project delivery goals and stakeholder expectations.

- Use office technology, software and applications
- A university degree in engineering, architecture, project management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in engineering coordination, project integration, or infrastructure development.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role, managing large scale infrastructure projects with a strong focus on integration across all project phases-including design, construction, implementation and close out.
- Proven experience with the full project lifecycle, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and asset handover, with emphasis on integration with existing systems to ensure seamless transitions.
- Strong background in stakeholder management and cross functional coordination, working with government agencies, contractors, and internal departments.
- Proven ability to lead technical reviews and manage design changes across large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with various procurement models (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3) and their application in large engineering projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and external partners.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Experience managing staff and consultants, including performance oversight and team development.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, SharePoint).
- Preferred industry experience in transit, rail construction/design, large scale consulting, industrial, energy or airport infrastructure.
