Position Overview:Lambert Nemec Group, Manitoba's premier specialized recruitment firm, has been engaged by our client, a leading manufacturing company in Winnipeg in hiring a Mechanical Designer for thei team.This role is a newly created position and will be a vital part of the engineering team, mainly focused on the design of the mechanical systems for the organization's products.Key Responsibilities:Help with product development, including selecting parts, putting systems together, and making sure everything works as expected.Use drawing software to design parts, build prototypes, and finalize product designs.Improve designs to lower costs, boost quality, and make manufacturing and assembly easier.Work with testing and software teams to help plan and run validation tests.Write technical reports and other necessary documents.Install and adjust parts or test models on machines for design testing.Help prepare materials and estimates for proposals.May assist with creating and tracking project schedules and budgets.Perform other related tasks as needed.Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing or product development experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in drawing tools/ software such as Solidworks, Autocad, Solidedge etc.
