- Carry out activities relating to Canadian and US payroll production within the required deadlines in accordance with fiscal regulations and Domtar's policies and procedures;
- Enter data for Family Support and garnishment;
- Reconcile payroll records and solve discrepancies in collaboration with the Finance department if needed;
- Balance and prepare payments for various suppliers;
- Production of various monthly reports;
- Respond to requests from internal and external clients;
- Participate to the year-end activities for the Canadian and US payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing;
- Participate to the integration, the testing and the implementation of payroll system enhancements, interfaces and tax updates;
- Participate to special projects as required.

- Bilingual, French (Intermediate) and English*, both spoken and written.
- College diploma in administration or accounting;
- Minimum of three (3) years' of experience in a similar position;
- Experience with payroll for employees living in another province
- Experience with self-processing a volume of 400 employee or more
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Software, particularly with Excel.
- Experience with unionized payroll an asset
- Experience with T4/R1 summary production an asset
- Experience with DAS remittances an asset
- Experience with third-party remittances such as CNESST, WSIB or EHT an asset
- Member of the Canadian Payroll Association or the American Payroll Association is an asset;
- Experience with a major payroll software application as well as knowledge of the SAP system will be considered strong assets;
- Experience with American payroll is an asset
- Good knowledge of payroll rules;
