They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Operations Associate - UL Rate Crediting to join our client.Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend
Pay Rate: Starting from $28 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid: onsite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business HoursJob Responsibilities:
  • Gather a variety of financial inputs (government and corporate bond yields, FX rates, equity index values, stock prices, mutual fund values, seg fund values, etc.) from various sources daily, validating accuracy within defined thresholds and investigating issues.
  • Run and upload all Universal Life crediting rates to administrative systems, supporting client-level rate-crediting for over $8B of assets under management, validating accuracy of all calculated rates within defined thresholds and investigating / reporting issues.
  • Validate accuracy of the upload of rates to 7 administrative systems.
  • Prepare Weekly and Monthly Marketing materials relating to all crediting rates calculated and ensure materials are posted to advisor and client facing outlets.
  • Support several additional ad hoc / manual processes, including data gathering, rate calculation, reporting, etc. for departmental, cross-departmental, and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders for any delays or issues.
  • Support team members with training, scheduling, processing issues, etc., and perform validation of their work as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic work environment where the timing of data availability changes day to day.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Support vendor management.
  • Perform internal testing, quality assurance, and other auditing functions to ensure the integrity of department processing and workflow.
  • Facilitate problem solving and remedial action by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the document and procedure library, ensuring that procedures and job aids are accurate, up to date.
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
  • Postsecondary degree
  • Knowledge of standard desktop applications used by the business unit
  • Outlook, Excel, Adobe
