
Director, Restructuring - Toronto | Corporate Finance & Restructuring

- Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of restructuring and/or transactions advisory engagements
- Apply business, accounting, finance and analysis skills to various client situations and practice disciplines
- Review financial statements and perform quality of earnings/cash flow analysis
- Prepare and/or review complex financial projections to model business plans, processes and/or transactions
- Assess business plans, cash flows, and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans
- Conduct financial due diligence and financial analysis of clients and potential target companies
- Understand all aspects of the client’s business including review of operational and financial performance
- Draft written reports and/or presentations on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities
- Work with the client’s senior management, restructuring / legal / finance experts on work engagements
- Manage the engagement team and provide coaching to junior team members
- CPA designation or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- 5+ years of relevant post-graduate experience
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
- Relevant experience in a professional services firm (public accounting, consulting, etc.)
- Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions
- Advanced Excel modelling, report writing, and PowerPoint skills
- Prior experience in restructuring and/or transaction services
- Enrolled in the CIRP qualification program
- Advanced problem-solving and issue resolution skills
