- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to engineering teams in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Controls, and Civil/Structural disciplines.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with Canadian nuclear regulatory standards, including CSA N-series and CNSC requirements.
- Act as the primary engineering liaison with our nuclear clients and other principal stakeholders.
- Promote technical excellence, innovation, and ongoing improvement throughout all engineering functions.
- Supervise resource allocation, team training and development, and performance management for engineering personnel.
- Contribute to proposal preparation, project planning, and client presentations.
- Facilitate integrated and optimized project delivery through effective interdisciplinary coordination.
- Guide and motivate the engineering team to deliver solutions that adhere fully to nuclear codes and standards.
- Review and authorize engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, and technical specifications.
- Identify and manage risks, scope variations, and opportunities across the project lifecycle.
- Cultivate a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the engineering organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil);
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is required.
- Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years experience in nuclear projects.
- Knowledge of Ontario Power Generation's processes, procedures, tools-particularly the ECC process, AS9 (Asset Suite 9), EBOM, etc. Knowledge of Bruce Power processes, procedures, and tools is an asset.
- Trained in all CBTs and other applicable training programs to deliver projects within OPG's design qualifications and Project Management program.
- Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of Canadian nuclear codes and standards (e.g., CSA N290, N299, N285).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in engineering analysis tools relevant to each discipline (e.g., ETAP for electrical, FEA for mechanical, structural analysis software).
