- Job Description
- Build, lead, support, and mentor the Document Control team, providing clear guidance and fostering professional growth
- Act as a trusted subjectmatter expert, ensuring smooth coordination and integration of information across all project stakeholders
- Develop, roll out, and continuously refine document control processes, procedures, and templates in close collaboration with the client, project teams, discipline leads, and IT
- Oversee the planning and implementation of document management procedures for major projects and project offices
- Advise clients based on their business needs, recommending optimal document management and/or project management platform solutions
- Play a key role in business development, actively contributing to the growth of the Document Control service within the Project Management sector
- Coordinate project assigned resources, ensuring efficient collaboration and alignment
- Ensure clear and secure communication across project teams, maintaining compliance with network security standards during information transfer and sharing
- Oversee the complete document lifecycle, including receiving, reviewing, coding, classifying, preserving, and managing all project documentation and control registers, while maintaining strong expertise in EDMS/ECM systems
- Support effective project decision-making by aligning document coding with the WBS and producing accurate, insightful project management reports
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree or any other relevant training related to document control
- Master's degree and/or PMP certification, an asset
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in document control, including team management experience, in engineering and project management while driving and sustaining transformational change
- Experience in business analysis including needs assessment, recommendations, and client support in paperless environments
- Uptodate with the latest technologies in both document control and project management and ability to analyze new technologies in collaboration with IT
- Proficiency in handling data and using various software tools including collaborative platforms related to the BIM process and/or digital delivery
- Ability to provide training on the use of different software applications
- Proficiency in at least one EDMS/ECM application (e.g., SharePoint, ACC, Aconex, ProjectWise, or similar tools)
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit, with the ability to build a network of collaborators
