Department of Biology (Professor Hans Larsson)Position Summary:
  • Records and edits audio and video of lab members and research. These will be vignettes to showcase research to engage high school and CEGEP level students with the goal of encouraging them to consider Earth System Sciences as a career.
  • Posts to social media channels.
  • Monitors social media responses.
  • Produces a small physical display around Canadian palaeontology.
  • Produces an online digital display around Canadian palaeontology.
  • Organizes individuals (volunteers) to assist in content development.
  • Maintains a schedule of volunteers.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ambulatory (needs to be able to move in spaces carrying objects).
Education/Experience:
  • Prior experience in the Larsson fossil lab.
  • WHMIS training.
  • Background in vertebrate palaeontology.
Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
