- Writing, editing, proofing, and developing content for the execution of the overall internal and external, operational and strategic communications plans for Home Homeware Stores Limited across a variety of media platforms.
- Coordinate Dealer/Field Team emails on behalf of Home Hardware Stores Limited departments.
- Create/adapt/triage/deploy email communications in a consistent and deliberate manner, monitoring and governing email content and deployment.
- Provide project support for promotion and execution of new and updated company initiatives: planning, coordinating, communicating, and executing the various components of a communication plan.
- Create workback schedules and timelines to ensure communication projects stay on schedule.
- Create daily, weekly, monthly Dealer communications, in both English and French.
- Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules.
- Develop and write processes, templates, and technical guides, and maintain all project documentation.
- Ensure project deadlines are met. Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Coordinate and write PowerPoint presentations with subject matter experts.
- Assist with the editing, creation, and formatting of documents.
- Support the production of live and virtual events, such as Regional Dealer Meetings and Market from script/speech development to video production.
- College Diploma in Communications or Marketing with three to five years’ experience in a communications-focused role.
- Experience supporting internal and external, operational and strategic communications.
- Comfortable presenting to and advising key stakeholders, with the ability to influence decisions and provide strategic communications guidance.
- Experience in retail, merchandising, or a similar fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and/or agency experience, is considered an asset.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and high-impact environment.
- Strong project management experience, including planning, prioritizing, tracking, and delivering multiple concurrent initiatives with tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of approval processes and ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Ability to problem-solve using sound judgment, policy, and precedent.
- Experience using data to inform communications decisions, including tracking performance metrics and analyzing results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
- The expected starting salary range for this role is $61,500 - $75,600; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
