- Job Description
- Contribute to the growing mechanical practice in Edmonton, leveraging your experience to date and the expertise available in other locations across CIMA+
- Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships
- Participate in business development activities through the Alberta area
- As the team grows, contribute to the development of the mechanical engineering group's technical expertise in order to meet our clients' needs
- Analyze and solve complex problems, identify appropriate work methods and guidelines, and coordinate project completion
- Assist in the supervision and management of the mechanical engineering team members, including engineers, technicians, and support staff
- Evaluate technical work, delegate responsibilities and provide instructions.
- Make recommendations regarding the selection of new employees in the recruitment process, training, performance evaluation and compensation management
- Prepare and reply to proposals in collaboration with the team assigned to this task
- Profile
- Eligible for membership with APEGA - P.Eng. or P.L.Eng.
- Over 15 years' experience in mechanical engineering in the buildings sector
- Experience in managing teams of professional engineers is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in the consulting engineering market and with clients in Edmonton and surrounding area
- Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is an asset
- Experience mentoring junior technical staff is an asset
