
Warehouse Technician

- Gathers supplies for orders in preparation for shipment/delivery and performs quality checks.
- Assembles, labels, and provides supplies as required.
- Participates in quality assurance activities as directed.
- Uses inventory management systems to pick inventory.
- Ensures inventory is maintained on the shelf for packing customer orders and shelves are properly labelled.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in the department on a daily basis.
- Files documents appropriately.
- Verifies information on packing slip to ensure that the correct product is being sent to the correct recipients.
- Maintains freezer packs in sufficient quantity and quality to ensure temperature-controlled shipping.
- Participates in ongoing training required due to revision of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities, education programs, and department/branch meetings.
- Nice to have forklift experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to organize workload for efficient use of time.
- Ability to function independently.
- Organized and disciplined.
- The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers.
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
- The employee is required to stand, bend, walk, crouch, and sit.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required for this role and employee must notify supervisor regarding any health issues that may affect ability to lift.
