The primary responsibilities of the Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Contracts is to lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives and manage the full contract lifecycle. This role will work with multiple stakeholders including Senior leadership, Business Stakeholders, Privacy, Security, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Finance, and the Legal department to ensure that the terms and conditions stated in contracts are in line with Loblaw’s standard strategic objectives all while building strong supplier relationships. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, driving cost savings and mitigating risks. This role’s expertise will be crucial in optimizing our sourcing processes and contributing to the company's overall successWhat you'll do:Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies across various categories of spend, aligned with overall business objectives.Conduct market analysis, identify emerging trends, and evaluate supplier capabilities to inform strategic sourcing decisions.Serve as point of contact for ongoing contractual matters between multiple stakeholders and legal.Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation clauses.Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and review to executionDevelop contract summaries, including risk summaries for Loblaw senior executives as neededAssist with the development of contract summaries, including risk summaries for Loblaw senior executivesEnsure contracts comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, working closely with the legal department.Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk mitigation.Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure alignment on sourcing and contract strategies.Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and contracting activities, including supply disruptions, legal liabilities, and reputational damage.Lead projects (and other duties as assigned) as necessary.Perform administrative tasks in Fieldglass and on AribaWhat you bring:Strong project management skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively work with disparate teamsBusiness & Procurement knowledgeExperience in procurement contract drafting and negotiationWorking knowledge of the procurement process, including strategic procurement and has the ability to contribute information and expertise to get resultsAdvanced understanding of the legal system, especially contract lawAbility to work with all levels of management in a fast-paced work environmentHow You’ll Succeed:At Loblaw Digital, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture.
