- Developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, consultants, and area clients to help grow the business.
- Identifying and pursuing area client business development with Alberta government, municipalities, and other transportation infrastructure opportunities.
- Providing leadership, daily management, and mentoring to area team members.
- Leading and/or assisting with proposals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, forecast resource needs, and allocate funds effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks through proactive planning and risk management strategies.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and lead change management efforts.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies across all operational activities.
- Assisting with recruitment process.
- Completing performance reviews for assigned staff.
- Responsible for overall management and administration of the Grande Prairie office.
- Responsible for Health and Safety in the Grande Prairie office and support of the joint health and safety committee representative.
- Responsible for managing timesheets and expense reports for assigned staff.
- Minimum of 10 years of consulting engineering industry within Canada.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in operational planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced project management skills; PMP certification is an asset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage change effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and operational best practices.
- Experience with performance management and team development.
- Ability to travel occasionally within the region as required.
- Familiarity with operational metrics and KPIs in a relevant industry setting.
