Responsibilities:Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Follows job instruction to meet all established standards for labour, material utilization and product quality.
Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with minimal down time
Maintain electrical and mechanical reliability of bulk handling packaging lines
Create and maintain a Preventative Maintenance program
Troubleshoot
Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
Small capital projects
Acts in a leading role for facility improvements and facility maintenance
Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
Actively involved with new product development that may impact the manufacturing and packaging process
Interface with vendors on the possible purchase of equipment and facility needs
Maintain proper documentation for the dust collector system
Works with Line-Lead person on insuring weight scales are consistently providing proper data
Responsible for proper mixture of scent chemicals and additives
Create and maintain an active spare parts list
Follows and actively promotes safe work, good housekeeping and hygiene practices within the context of current or future legislation and Normerica Safety program
Attends all monthly group safety talks and alerts the Company of any safety hazard or housekeeping hygiene concerns

OE/Lean

Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities

Experience Required:

Electrical
Millwright
Welding
Mechanical

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

PLC knowledge/experience is strongly preferred
