You'll work alongside proactive and collaborative teammates.You'll play a key role in evaluating and optimizing the technical cost of components and systems throughout the product development cycle. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing), develop cost models, and promote a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team, among other responsibilities.You'll specifically take care of providing cost breakdowns for components to support sourcing negotiations, but also propose improvements to designs or manufacturing processes to reduce costs.We'll look to you for:Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of components/systems along the product development cycleApplying or developing cost analysis methods for components/systemsProposing improvements to design or manufacturing processes to reduce technical costsPromoting a cost-conscious culture within the engineering teamProviding cost breakdowns of components to the sourcing team for negotiation supportContributing to the improvement of cost analysis practices and methodologiesAll about youWe value passion and attitude over experience.
