- Oversee the planning and scheduling of telecommunications projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain schedule and budget targets.
- Coordinate and manage core project functions: administration, scheduling, and construction.
- Ensure clients are informed of all extra work and claims, and subcontractors are notified of any back charges.
- Maintain and update contract documentation, including change orders.
- Implement and monitor safety, environmental, and quality control policies and plans.
- Ensure compliance with local legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and support to project staff, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, project procedures, and union agreements where applicable.
- Review and approve project cost reports, ensuring accurate forecasting and profitability.
- Assist in the bidding process by contributing technical insights and field expertise.
- Perform additional duties as required to support project success.
- Experience in the utility contracting industry with a strong understanding of field operations
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques, practices, and fundamentals
- Experience with contract and subcontract management, including documentation and compliance
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Telecommunications experience is considered a strong asset
- Must hold a valid Ontario Class G driver's license
