· Paid recertification and training.What qualifications are we looking for?At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals.The successful candidates will have the following;· Knowledge and experience in the Esports and video gaming sector· Familiarity with consoles and software such as Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Discord· Experience working with children and youth· Competency in oral and written communication skills, including basic use of technology· Maturity and the ability to work independently· Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certified within 12 months· Evidence of a cleared Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search· Three professional referencesWhat does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?Duties and Responsibilities include;Operational Excellence- Provide active in-ratio Esports program delivery to children and youth ages 8 - 17- Execute program curriculum content- Develop positive relationships with children, youth, and families- Collect feedback and report incidents and trends to the Esports SupervisorHealth & Safety- Follow all YMCA Calgary Emergency Procedures, Health & Safety, and Child Safety & Protection/Safeguarding policiesStaff Development and Capacity Building- Provide support and mentorship to program volunteersWhat qualities do we look for in YMCA Calgary Staff and Volunteers?Our diverse team of staff and volunteers are committed to making a positive impact in the community.
