Our client an international manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Controller to play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations while guiding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Expected Salary Range: $90,000 - 110,000 per yearResponsibilities:

Lead, coach, and coordinate the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate processing
Manage core accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and periodic AP/AR support
Drive the month-end close process and ensure completion of all balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain accounting continuity schedules, including fixed asset tracking and depreciation
Prepare and remit statutory filings, including sales and other government taxes
Analyze inventory costs and variances related to materials, labour, and overhead
Support the planning, execution, and reconciliation of physical inventory counts
Uphold adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable standards
Contribute to financial reporting and additional accounting initiatives, as needed

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of full-cycle inventory management and cost accounting experience
Experience within a manufacturing and entrepreneurial corporate environment is desirable
Hands-on knowledge of U.S. sales tax reconciliations, intercompany transactions and ASPE is a strong asset
Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
Proven abilities with leading a small accounting or finance team
