This We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager eager to join our talented Strategy & Foresight Department!What You Will DoReporting to the Manager, Fare Policy and Planning, you will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects while ensuring consistency with applicable strategies, commitments and goals. As Project Manager you will be accountable for on-time, on budget and successful delivery of assigned projects. To this end, you will facilitate the defining of the project scope, goals and deliverables. You will review project scope documentation, ensuring objectives are clearly defined and approved. Collaborate with project stakeholders and facilitate project scope, tasks, goals, deliverables and resource requirements. You will develop full scale project plans. As Project Manager - Fare Policy and Planning you will lead policy development projects including communication initiatives to ensure that all project team members have an understanding of roles and delivery responsibilities, ensuring project deliverables are met. In addition, you will manage internal and external stakeholders, plan and facilitate regular team meetings as well as support the implementation of fare policy enhancements for the TTC and ensure that the quality of the time customers spend with TTC meets the highest standards of transit worldwide. You will be responsible for developing a diverse range of change management activities, fare policy improvement initiatives as well as the development and implementation of related strategy, methodology, policy, guidelines and standards. In addition to the above you will support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. You will be required to participate in the TTC's Customer Service Ambassador Program.What Qualifications Do You Bring?
  • In-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management related to policy development, and project management techniques and tools.
  • Experience working in the public sector, government agencies or transportation industry, including a strong understanding of governance protocols.
  • Completion of a College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Progressively responsible project management experience and demonstrated experience in budgeting and cost control is integral and will contribute to the success in this role.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and developing business cases is required.
  • Experience with strategic policy development and planning concepts is required.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of scheduling practices and techniques in a project management organization is required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles, cost control, project and budget management is also required.
  • Proven strategic planning, risk and change management experience.
  • Your familiarity with public transit services in Toronto, including current issues, challenges and opportunities, as well as best practices and trends in policy, planning, and customer experience across the transit industry.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams as well as the ability to resolve conflict in a constructive, fair and consistent manner.
