As a B2B Sales Consultant, you will sell group benefits solutions - including group health, dental, life, and disability insurance programs -- to business owners and senior HR decision-makers at small-to-medium employers across the GTA and surrounding areas. You will be selling primarily to owners, presidents, and HR/executive-level decision-makers. This is a pure hunter role -- 100% new business development in Year 1, with account management responsibility growing in Year 2 as your renewal base develops. Approximately 75% of leads will be self-generated through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and self-built target lists; 25% of leads are warm or list-supplied. This is an expansion hire for an established, family-owned insurance brokerage headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario, reporting to benefits team leadership.   • Head office is in Hamilton, ON
  • 5 days/week in-office during the training period
  • Post-training: Outside sales role — when not in the office, you are meeting clients in the field
  • Candidates must be located within commutable distance to Hamilton: Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville (furthest east), Kitchener, Cambridge, Brantford, or Niagara region.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Proven sales experience (non-industry) or newly licensed professional (LLQP, 1–2 years): $50,000–$70,000, leading to unlimited earning potential
  • Emerging professional with some industry experience (LLQP, 3–5 years): $70,000–$100,000, leading to unlimited earning potential
  • Seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge (LLQP, 5+ years): $110,000+, unlimited earning potential

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in the employee benefits space is strongly preferred (group benefits, retirement savings, benefits administration, or related B2B sales)
  • No license is required to start — the LLQP (life license) is not a prerequisite; the company will support you in obtaining it within 6–9 months of your start date
  • Strong hunters with a passion for the insurance/benefits industry and the drive to build a pipeline from the ground up will be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, network, conduct client presentations, and close new business
