ShareLocated in Edmonton, ABAn Edmonton client is searching for an Accountant to join their team.Accountant Highlights:· Collaborate with the team to produce monthly management accounts within designated timelines, involving:· Completion of assigned balance sheet reconciliations.· Assistance in preparing monthly management accounts, including posting journal entries and reviewing transactional data for accurate reporting.· Conduct any further analysis as required by the Finance Manager.· Ensure accurate coding of invoices for respective jobs by working closely with the General Manager and Finance Manager.· Generate job costing reports and submit them promptly to the General Manager for review.· Oversee and manage the cost closure of projects, addressing any outstanding issues or cost commitments in a timely manner.· Collaborate with the procurement department as necessary to support financial operations.· Prepare and clean up data to facilitate the implementation of a new ERP system.· Conduct financial analysis as needed, including reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts and carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.· Assist in the monthly, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes to support financial planning.· Provide ad hoc finance support as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.· Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.· Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge, providing support, and fostering effective communication among team members.· Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance to continuously improve processes and performance.Accountant Hours· 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM – Monday to FridayAbout Us:Specialized Recruiting Group works with job seekers to help them find the right job for their skills and experience.
