- Prepare month, and year-end financial statements, which includes month-end reconciliations, journal entries, and coding
- Complete accurate and timely government remittances
- Provide financial information and regulatory reporting to the leadership team by analyzing accounting data and preparing reports for strategic decision making
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the organization
- Support the Controller with planning analysis and financial reporting
- Identify and assist with implementation of process efficiencies
- Complete full cycle accounting activities
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedule
- Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and review of risk areas
- Assist with audits
- Review business policies, practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvement and other projects as assigned.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting
- Pursuing CPA designation is ideal
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external resources
- Excellent time management and organization skills to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple tasks/projects
- Proficient in the use of computer programs (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) with working knowledge of Excel at a high intermediate level
