- Manage contracts throughout project execution-both upstream (clients) and downstream (subcontractors).
- Oversee change management, delay notices, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Lead project cost management and reporting of key performance indicators.
- Support the Project Director and team on all commercial matters.
- Lead and mentor the project commercial team, ensuring all commercial functions are executed effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms and entitlements with clients and subcontractors.
- Prepare contractual correspondence and change/claim documentation.
- Develop and implement procedures for accurate cost and schedule forecasting.
- Lead internal and external project reporting (weekly/monthly).
- Provide commercial leadership to the project management team.
- Manage project cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Report financial metrics including cost/margin and cash flow.
- Prepare and manage claims, support dispute resolution, and develop business cases.
- Review contract documents for commercial risk, scope, and schedule alignment.
- Manage subcontractor costs and performance.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead robust change management processes in line with contractual obligations.
- Analyze issues, evaluate options, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Handle complex commercial issues, including disputes and negotiations.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial management of construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction and procurement laws/regulations.
- Experience in design-build and alternative delivery models.
- Proven ability to manage commercial aspects in joint venture environments.
- Expertise in dispute resolution, claims preparation, and contract negotiation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to assess and mitigate risk.
- Hands-on leadership with the ability to build and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
- Competitive salary range: $130,000 - $180,000
