The Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology Clinical Trials Group, requires an Administrative Assistant II to support clinical trial activities under the supervision of the research manager. In this role, the Administrative Assistant I exercises judgment and independence to provide complex clerical and administrative support including but not limited to:
- Ensuring the efficient operation and organization of the office
- Developing, organizing and maintaining electronic and paper information filing/retrieval methods, systems or formats
- Using advanced word processing to facilitate the production of moderately complex documents/materials
- Organizing and planning meetings/events, recording minutes
- Reviewing complex timesheets and completing payroll entry
- Collecting and cross-referencing information in electronic databases and tracking forms
- Maintaining departmental training records (paper and electronic)
- Managing the flow of documentation through the department
- Handling queries and questions from internal and external clients in a professional and timely manner
- Performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned
- At a minimum, a completion of a Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an education/ administrative role.
- Experience in a project coordination/management.
- Experience with developing and working with budgets is an asset.
- Exercises initiative and good judgement with the ability to multi-task
