The Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking chief structural engineer to provide
technical leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to our architectural, civil and structural
engineering functions. As a member of the technical services sustaining projects team,
reporting to the manager, engineering, you will be the most senior structural engineer at
Cameco and will ensure the integrity, safety, and innovation of structural design across all
projects. The ideal candidate brings a depth of structural engineering expertise, strong
leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide teams through complex engineering challenges.

across disciplines to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

- 10 or more years of progressive structural engineering experience, including

- demonstrated expertise in structural design, analysis, and code compliance;
- experience leading technical teams with the ability to coach and develop
- strong communication, decision making, and stakeholder management skills;
- travel to Cameco's northern Saskatchewan and/or Ontario sites by aircraft as
- master's degree in civil or structural engineering;
- knowledge and familiarity to run structural analysis using STAAD_PRO software
excel sheets;
- knowledge of applicable codes (NBCC, NFCC, NECB), standards (CSA S16, CSA
Mines Regulations);
- knowledge of 3D viewer software such as Navisworks, Jetstream, Point Cloud;
- knowledge of emerging technologies and innovative engineering approaches;
- experience with third party reviews, code compliance reviews and fire hazard
- understanding of containment requirements; and
- familiarity with radiation shielding requirements.
